Biodegradable flocculants based on polyacrylamide and poly(N

Biodegradation of the graft copolymers was carried out by enzyme hydrolysis. Flocculation performances of the graft copolymers were evaluated in 1.0 wt% coal and 1.0 wt% silica suspensions. A comparative study of the flocculation performances of AP-g-PDMA and AP-g-PAM was also made.

Sep 7, 2018 路 High molecular weight (10 6 鈥? 脳 10 7 Da) polyacrylamide (PAM) is commonly used as a flocculant in water and wastewater treatment, as a soil conditioner, and as a viscosity modifier and...

May 4, 2017 路 Some fungi and yeasts could degrade 60鈥?0% of acrylamide. The biodegradation of PAM and its derivatives are initiated by the enzyme amidase, either under aerobic or anaerobic conditions, and are further degraded partially or completely by an array of different enzymes.

Biopolymer-based flocculants: a review of recent technologies

Flocculants with less than 1% charged functional groups are considered as nonionic flocculants. 34 Nonionic flocculants normally have high molecular weights, which helps them flocculate suspended particles through the bridging mechanism. 35 Polyacrylamide is the most important water soluble nonionic flocculant because its monomer, acrylamide

Synthesis of a polyamine-modified starch flocculant and its

Flocculation is the process of agglomerating destabilized particles into bigger flocs. In wastewater flocculation and sludge treatment, colloidal particles are flocked in order to aid their removal or to help sludge dewatering. Polymers can be used alone or together with inorganic coagulants to make flocs bigger and more resistant to shear forces.

Producers of polyacrylamide flocculants have been relying on Exxsol鈩?D80, D95, D100 and D110 fluids for years to formulate their water treatment products. These Exxsol dearomatized fluids provide high chemical and oxidative stability and inertness to enable predictable performance during the reverse polymerization process.
